Welcome
1. The Chair welcomes you to attend this meeting.
2. The Chair welcomes you to this meeting.
3. The Chair welcomes you for attending this meeting.
Welcome 一字后面可以加 to + infinitive,也可以加 to + noun。桌上放滿食物,主人家對客人說 "You are welcomed to help yourself" 或 "You are welcomed to the food"(較常見的說法是 "You are welcome to help yourself")。
The Chair wants to thank you for attending this meeting.
